Greetings!

My name is Brian Swartzlander, and I am entering my 5th year as the Head Principal of Kiski Area Upper Elementary School (KAUE).  I am very excited to work alongside my Assistant Principal, Mrs. Maggie Nicholas, our dedicated faculty and staff, and our incoming 5th and 6th-grade students throughout the 2023-2024 school year!

The vision of the Kiski Area School District is to ensure that all students learn at the highest levels they ever have.  This will be the focus and center of all we do here at KAUE.  We will strive to provide all students with educational experiences that prepare them for the next level while fostering their knowledge and interests in higher education or career paths they may pursue beyond their secondary education. 

As a former teacher and graduate of Kiski Area, I fully understand the high expectations and proud history that characterizes our district.  I look forward to helping our children become the best students and citizens they can be, and maintaining the standard of excellence that precedes them.
